Editorial Policy

This page explains how My360Life is written, checked and corrected. We publish it because you should be able to judge whether to trust what you read here, and because we have not always met this standard — these are the rules we now hold ourselves to.

Originality

Every article on My360Life is written for My360Life. We do not republish, syndicate, translate or rewrite articles from other publishers. We do not take another site’s reporting, change the words, and present it as ours.

Where another publication’s work informs a piece, we say so and link to it.

Sourcing

  • Claims about health, nutrition, psychology, money or safety are sourced.
  • We link to the primary source — the study, the dataset, the official guidance — not to a secondary article summarising it.
  • We name the researchers or institutions behind the findings we cite.
  • We prefer systematic reviews and meta-analyses to single studies, and we say when evidence is preliminary, contested, or based on small samples.
  • We do not report a study’s press release as though we had read the study.
  • Where the evidence does not settle a question, we say that rather than picking the tidier answer.

Experts

When we quote an expert, we give their name, their credentials and the context in which they said it. We do not lift quotes an expert gave to another publication and present them as though they spoke to us.

Artificial intelligence

We use AI tools for parts of our process — research assistance, locating primary sources, outlining and line-editing. We think concealing that would be worse than stating it.

What we do not do is publish machine-generated text as though it were reported work. Every article is planned, fact-checked against its primary sources, and edited by a named human editor who takes responsibility for it. If an article is wrong, a person is answerable for it, and that person is named at the top of the page.

Images

We use images we have created, licensed, or that are free to use under a licence we comply with, and we credit them. We do not use stock photography we have not licensed.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Substantive corrections are noted at the foot of the article with the date and what changed. We do not quietly edit an article to erase an error.

Report one to levicksarah@gmail.com with “Correction” in the subject line. It is the message we answer first.

Independence

My360Life currently carries no advertising, no sponsored content and no affiliate links. If that changes, we will say so here and on our About page. In no case will advertisers or partners have influence over what we cover or how we cover it, and we will not publish paid placement disguised as editorial.
